The Distinctions Between R-Thread and T-Thread Self Drilling Anchor

R-thread and T-thread all belongs to large-pitch thread. Compared with traditional Metric screw thread, they have lower adhesive strength with coupling and cement layer, while, they largely accelerate the speed of installing accessories. During the process of move and transportation, large-pitch thread can avoid being damaged and keep intact.
R-thread self drilling anchor gets its name from the wave-shaped tooth profile. Its thread structure and geometrical size have been included in National Standard GB/T6482 and International Standard ISO10208. R-thread self drilling anchor has the longest history and mature application. R-thread linking with drill tools is applied widely in drilling rocks, it can connect with drill tools with various kinds, specifications and numbers. The depth of R-thread is shallow and its change is gentle. Because of good construct design, R-thread self drilling anchor can decrease the variation of stress, avoid concentration of stress and prevent the fracture during drilling process.
T-thread self drilling anchor gets its name from the trapezoid or quadrangled section, which ensures the optimal bonding stress between anchor bar, coupling and grouting medium. The bonding stress of T-thread is 2.4 times of R-thread. While because of the big change of cross section, stress concentration will be caused easily and fracture tendency will be occurred in the conditions of drilling process and repeated fluctuating load.
