Railway Projects in India

Recently, India CCEA has ratified two railway projects with 32.75 billion rupees: one is Kiul-Gaya Railway Project in Bihar and the other is Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda Railway Project in Jharkhand and Orissa.
Kiul-Gaya Railway Project is 124-kilometer long and costs about 13.54 billion rupees. Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda Railway Project is 185.5-kilometer long and costs about 19.21 billion rupees.
It is expressed by India Ministry of Railways that Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda Railway Project is predicted to be completed in 6 years to meet freight transportation demand of large-scale thermal power plants in Barch, Katni and Baruni regions.
Railway is the main travel mode for Indians and railway system transfers about 23 million passengers per day. Based on old road network and heavy transportation pressure, railway accident in India occurs frequently.
